When men are involved in their
child's education, children perform better in school.
On September 22, 2011,
thousands of fathers, foster fathers, grandfathers,
uncles, brothers, godfathers, cousins, and other significant
male caregivers and mentors will walk or drive their children to school to
show their support of their children's education.

How it
works ...
Employers are asked to allow fathers and other male caregivers to arrange their schedule in order to accompany their children to school and help get the school year started right.
Men and their
children should arrive15-30
minutes before the starting
bell.
Fathers and other
men should be welcomed guests at
their children’s school, given a
lapel sticker to show they
participated, and asked to
complete a participation card.
Some schools will
have information and activities
available. Fathers and other
men will only go into schools if
school staff invites them in.
Otherwise, they will leave after
their children enter the
building.
